Sredna gora is mountain in the central part of Bulgaria between behind Balkan valleys in the north and in the south of Gornotrakiiskata lowland. In the west it reaches Iskar river stream, in the east reaches Tundja River. Sredna gora is divided in three parts: West part (Ihtimanska), Middle (Real) and East part (Syrnena). In Sredna gora the highest peak is Bogdan (1604m). In this mountain there are deposits of copper ore and also mineral springs- Hisaria, Panagiurski bani, Strelcha and others.Bogdan reserve is located on the territory of Sredna gora.
