Lakatnishki Skali are situated on the left lower bank of the Iskar river in the western part of Stara Planina. They reach a height of 250m. They are built from red sandstones and limestones. As a result of the impact of the external atmospheric conditions on the Lakatashki Skali, a number of pyramids, towers, crags, etc. were formed. Lakatashki skali are declared a natural landmark and they are included in the “Vrachanski Balkan” national park and are a favourite place for mountain climbing.
