Ritlite (Cart Rails) are among the most interesting natural monuments in the gorge of the Iskar River. Starting from the river level, the three walls with height of 60-80m gradually rise to a height of 200 m. The local population likened them to cart rails and named them this way. These vertical walls are built from limestones formed by skeletons of dead corals and orbitoline shells. Ritlite are an impressive view and are a favourite place for mountain climbing.
