Varshets is situated at about 90 kilometres from Sofia and it is one of the oldest and most popular balneo-treatment resorts in Bulgaria. The climate is suitable for rest and treatment all year long. In the summer it is cool, the winter is mild and humid, and the autumn is mild and warm.
The water of mineral springs here has a temperature of 36-38.2 o C. Different diseases of locomotory, the cardiovascular and nervous system are treated here. The mineral composition and healing properties of the mineral water here has analogies in countries like Argentina, Ecuador and India.
Interesting places to visit in the town are the “St. George” church and “Slancheva gradina”.
