Zhabata (the Frog) is a stone figure resembling a big standing frog near the town of Velingrad. It is about 3m high. This phenomenon could be classified in the group of Pobiti Kamani (Stone Forest). The frog is almost undriven into the ground but is just as fixed in the foundation among the smaller rock fragments and it is a piece of coarse-grained light granite. The lichens and mosses over “the head” and “the shoulders” show that it has been here for many years.
